What?  Are you talking about "violence"?  Then you know nothing about violence.

the police were decidely more violent than protestors, but they had better PR and excuses.
and the protestors, they had REASONS.

is it not violent to rip the poor off? is it not violent to destroy one’s livelihood aso that thousands of peasants and workers commit suicide? is it not violent to subsidize the european and american farmers while importing lower-than-cost agri-products to the developing countries so that the poor peasants’ crops go to trash? is it not violent that workers are to receive worse wages and work longer hours to achieve what is distorted as "free trade"?

The girl sees the way opened up for her.   She sets off to find what’s awaiting.

reflection of the drifted away

Monday, December 5th, 2005

The guy felt drifted.  How attached he was to this girl.  The tides kept washing him, in his sleep.  When he opened his eyes again he could not but see this little spot, little light - a star.  He wished on this star, it was his star.  He could do anything for this shinny reflection.  He stared at it so hard wishing to find himself reflected.  And then, he has become one himself.  As one beautiful reflection, which we could stare at and find ourselves.

The girl had found problems, strange problem that she couldn’t comprehend, in their relationship.  And eventually she couldn’t find the love anymore, however, she couldn’t let go.  It had always been a loving relationship, that of friendship, companionship and alliance.  One day she decided to tell the guy maybe it’d be better they maintain the friendship, companionhip and alliance.  The guy, who had seen this long ago, kept silent for some moments, is relieved.

I’m so happy that these people at InMeida exist.  They are our collective conscience.

So pleased to have seen so many people marching for universal suffrage and anti-fake democracy.
So pleased to have marched in cozy weather.
So pleased to have taken a coffee break at Kafa.
So pleased to have run into dear friend punling afterwards.
So pleased to have marched with my camrade.
So pleased to have held the poster with someone on my side.
So pleased to have witness this with someone important.
Tant pis pour les absentes.
